CHUY AND CHUI CITIES

North of the Department of Rocha concentrates an important number of tourist attractions all within less than a radius of 50 kms., with reference to cities Chui -Chuy.

The Shopping Tourism most important in the Department is found in the Chui Chuy Cities with hundreds of shops on either side of the "Avenida Internacional" border, the limit of Brazil and Uruguay. Perhaps the special appeal is provided by the system without taxes Tourists Sales (Free Shops), where a score of merchants offering their products at prices of imported origin.

HISTORICAL TOURISM AND BEACHES

Beach tourism, is represented by several seaside places, all with their particular characteristics, about 10 km "Barra do Chuí" found in Brazil and in Uruguay "Barra de Chuy", at just 25 km is La Coronilla , and 45 km is Punta del Diablo.

Historical tourism attractions offered as the Fort of San Miguel at 10 km and La Fortaleza de Santa Teresa, 38 km, you can also visit the nearby city of Santa Vitória do Palmar(Brazil) with 30,000.
